[Webby couldn't help laughing - that just had come out so perfectly; it really sounded cool - as she dodged the vines that came at her. Scrooge's business trip to Saint Canard had gotten a lot more interesting when the plant-duck mutant had shown up. Sure, it would've been cooler if he were one of the good guys, for the purpose of future team-ups, or just having a really interesting friend.

But this was fun, too - trying to get away from attacks and stop the villainous Bushroot. Apparently, the land Scrooge had purchased there in Saint Canard was the site of some rare flower, and Bushroot wasn't too keen on Scrooge's solution of replanting it in Duckburg. He may have a point; Webby wasn't exactly a botanist, but she'd read up on the flower on the ride over, and it did need very specific growing situations. But then again, Webby also knew Scrooge had a greenhouse in the Mansion that housed endangered plantlife from all over the world.

It was a shame not everyone did their McDuck research, she reflected as she yanked on Dewey's shirtsleeve, jumping to get herself and her friend out of the way of another attack.]

[As Webby and Dewey dove for cover, an arrow came flying out of nowhere. The pouch on the tip struck the vines and exploded in a POOF, the contents spreading over the vines in a cloud. The vines seemed to screech in terror, cringing and retreating back the way they came.

A duckling in a green costume with a dashing hat and mask swung in on a rope, waving her bow threateningly at the vines.]

Suck weed killer! Yeah, and stay out!

[Once she was sure the coast was clear, she turned and offered a hand to help the other kids up.]

Hey, you guys okay?

[Webby's eyes widened as she watched the girl, who couldn't be older than her, swing into action. Literally. It was pretty amazing, and she was grinning as she the vines and Bushroot made their escape from the office lobby.]

Yeah, thanks. [She took the masked duckling's hand, and pulled herself to her feet.] I'm Webby, and this is Dewey.

[Dewey nodded his greeting before saying he should go find his brothers, and heading off. Webby shook her head as he left.]

He's not usually that succinct. At all. I think he's just jealous that you swooped in and saved the day like that. [Webby probably would have felt a bit the same, had she not been so impressed.] That was really cool, by the way.

Hey thanks! I'm Quiverwing Quack! It's nice to meet you!

[She watches after Dewey, frowning a little.]

I'm just tryin' to help. Bushroot can be a pretty tough weed to whack sometimes.

It's nice to meet you, too! Quiverwing Quack... So you're like a superhero? A kid superhero? That's awesome!

[She shrugs, awkward, at the comment about Dewey.]

Yeah, he'll get that soon... Don't worry. Have you fought that Bushroot guy before?

Yeah! I have a big metal suit, too... but I'm still figuring out how t'use that.

[She nods]

Uh-huh. He fights my D- [Urp. Almost said the D word.] Uh. Darkwing Duck and me a lot. Him and the other losers.

Seriously? Like a robot? That's so cool!

So, who are the other losers?

Somethin' like that [She laughs]

The others? Weeee-eeeeell there's Quackerjack, Liquidator and Megavolt, but the worst of 'em all is Negaduck.

I've heard of Quackerjack - he's the guy who makes those toys, right? And then he went nuts when parents said they were dangerous.

[Says the duckling who had pleaded with her grandmother to get her a set of Quackerjack Chattering Teeth, before the guy had gone all "crazy supervillain".]

[She nods] That's him! He's crazy! You should'a seen some of his ridiculous schemes!

[She laughs]

But... what'd you guys do to make Bushroot so mad, anyway?

I wish I had! Maybe we can stay in Saint Canard a little longer, and I will!

[Webby beams, but her expression of excited delight fades at Quiverwing's question. It does sound pretty bad if you don't know the whole story - so it's a good thing Webby always likes to tell the whole story.]

Well, Uncle Scrooge is buying some land here in Saint Canard, and it's got this rare flower growing in it. It's one of the only ones left in the world, and I guess Bushroot heard that Scrooge was planning to move it to Duckburg. Thing is, I don't think he knows that there's a McDuck Greenhouse that has all kinds of plants like that. It's really cool! The McDuck Industry scientists made it so different plants can get the different conditions they need in there!

Neato! So you guys are just trying to save the flower? Geez, I don't know how he could get his leaves in a twist about that. Hey, maybe we could give you a hand! Make sure it gets there safe and sound!

Well, Uncle Scrooge actually wants the land for a new McDuck Industries lab, but...

[Webby chuckles, sheepishly, and shrugs.]

I mean, we're going to save the flower, too. And I'm sure we'd appreciate the help!
